HarukaBase works with several partner real estate and accommodation providers, so we can check more choices and start the reservation process earlier when your dates are realistic. Some properties may decline applicants who cannot communicate in Japanese at all, but some providers may approve an application after HarukaBase explains that we can support communication when needed.
Reservation timing
Start checking housing about 1 to 2 months before move-in.
The exact timing depends on the housing provider, but as a general guide, reservations usually become realistic about one to two months before your move-in date. Earlier reservations may be possible for some properties, so please contact HarukaBase once your city, arrival date, and budget are roughly decided.
Best timing to check
Availability becomes more realistic, and we can compare share houses, homestay, or monthly apartment options.
Move quickly
Once the provider confirms conditions or approval, payment may be needed soon. Waiting too long can cause the room to be released.
Rooms cannot be held for months
Most providers cannot hold a room for many months. We help you choose the right timing instead of applying too early or too late.
